Missouri Bird Tally

So far these are the birds I’ve sighted on our feeder (which at this point needs to be refilled!):

Coopers Hawk. I haven’t seen him since he delivered those messages about Grenwinaes’ work.

Tufted Titmouse. – this bird can raise and lower his crest and has a very dominant black eye. A very soft gray and sweet faced bird.

White Breasted Nuthatch – is a silly bird that likes to go up and down, trees. He likes to tilt his head back and forth, looking inquisitively about the world. He’s a bit of a busybody who talks a lot! Far more talking then working on getting food 😀

Rose breasted Grosbeak I’ve only seen once and he was dramatic in his color so is easily identified. Supposedly he has an amazing song so I hope he comes back!

Red-Bellied Woodpecker – we’ve seen two: a male and female. While both are very pretty, I found the female to be amazingly beautiful with her pale, subtle color and puff of orange crest.

Indigo Bunting is a very quick to move off the feeder when I approach to take a photo. Extremely bright blue to the point of almost looking like a fake bird!

Summer Tanager was spotted once. I hope he comes back because he eats wasps and we have plenty of those.
